The story of Distorted
View is one full of failures, disappointment, and a few rare
instances of hope and minor accolades (Proud Recipient of
1997 World's Greatest Spanish-Style Omelet "Honorable
Mention").
In 1997, Distorted View began as a comedy radio show heard
on the internet. Almost two years after starting the
project, Internet
Broadcast company Real-Talk heard an episode of of the
show and immediately offered to pick it up.
The Distorted View empire relocated to Texas to work
at the Dallas-based internet start-up. Unfortunately, by
July 2000, the money had run out and Real-Talk was force to
declare bankruptcy. Tim likes to
think he had everything to do with Real-Talk's demise. When
he left the office for the last time he didn't steal
anything.
A daily
version of Distorted View quickly became a top destination
on 800 telephone service TellMe for nearly two years. In
addition to the show, a top selling "Best-Of" CD was
produced for mp3.com. Distorted View segments have also
aired on Sirius Satellite Radio and Internet radio stations
across the globe.
Today, Distorted View is home to Tim Henson's newest
projects involving digital video. His comedic short films
have been appearing online for nearly a year, sharing the
same twisted sensibility as his radio show.
